Hi Andrew,
I happened across your draft some time ago, and as I have been working with
position-dependent information for some time (started five years ago, in
fact), I found it interesting. We have started looking at position
dependency both in the W3C Mobile Access Interest Group and the WAP Forum,
an industry consortium that works with mobile applications (www.wapforum.org).

While I don't quite agree with Harald that we can bend our rules to let you
in, there may be ways to give you access to the mobile access interest
group (which is normally only open to members) if you feel that you have
something to contribute (and I believe you do). It is too bad that you feel
that your company can't pay 5000 dollars, which is not an enormous sum,
after all. I would have supposed you could find business of considerably
more than that if you took part in making this a standard. Depending on
your purse, it is only half of that in the WAP Forum. But of course, if
your company is really small it is still too much.

We are continously discussing these issues, but we did not really plan to
do anything about this until our next face-to-face meeting on July 1. I
will bring up the issue then.

Johan
